Wandering Dreamer
A wandering dreamer walks the land in silence
Not turning to the right or left
Circling endlessly no destination in sight
Fading away as the shadow turns to night.
Caught in this endless spiral in the safety of silence
Protected from feeling, is there any left?
This wanderer presses on, seeing without sight.
Fear accompanies every step, turning day to night.
One day the dreamer comes across a Man
Who appears to be different from the rest
Of all those the dreamer had met.
Stopping he listened to what He had to say
His words were different, for every man.
He said, in Him one could find rest.
In Him, no need will go unmet.
All one had to do was turn and follow His way.
The wandering dreamer folded to his knees in silence,
Did not care what happened to his right or left,
Wept openly as this Man restored his sight
No longer would he wander in the darkness of night.
Touched by a savior speaking to him in silence,
Never again did the dreamer waiver to the right or left.
Eyes open now he saw the world in a different light.
One by His power will drive away even the darkest night.
As God Speaks
